Got my new infrared grill!
So we just moved into the new house and we’ve really been decorating it and painting and doing all the normal things people do when they get their first house. One of the things that I’ve looked forward to is having a bunch of friends over to the house for drinks and barbecue on the grill and make some of my famous salads with my secret ingredients of my salad dressing. Well I’ve never actually owned a grill before, I always used those dirty ones that apartment complexes have; not the best but they get the job done. Anyway, I started looking online and didn’t even realize that there was a grill that used infrared technology to cook food. I read it on an informational page that talks about a bunch of different options and the advantages for an infrared grill and figured I should just pay some extra money and get it.
I cooked for the first time on it yesterday. It’s a TEC and it was pretty easy to set up and really easy to use. I made some hamburgers and some steaks and they were really good and I’m going to get better at it. I thought that it would have that same feel or taste that you get when you use a regular grill, kind of like drinking out of a bottle or out of a can…I guess it just feels different. But anyway you still get the nice grill lines and the taste was outstanding. I think it was even better than what you get on a regular grill which makes me wonder if restaurants are going to start using these instead of regular grills since they could save money and energy.
I keep it out back in my yard, which I’m kind of worried just because the thing was so expensive and I guess someone could go back there and take it, it’s the same feeling I had when I bought my two hundred dollar red sunglasses, I was paranoid at first but I supposeafter awhile that will go away. I’ve actually already ordered a cart I can put it on so I can wheel it into the garage when I’m done to keep it safe. Overall after the first use I’d say it was definitely a good purchase and I think it will only get better.
